Azure stormed through the halls, tail whipping furiously as she dodged spiderbots left and right. They seemed to be the only thing in the hallways, save for the occasional alien worker as they hustled about to prepare for the competitors' return- but they disappeared before she could even identify a species.
"Observe who?" she demanded of the distant Viridian. "The spiderbots? The dustbunnies? There's no one here!" Azure rolled her eyes, whirling around a corner in such a temper
Fennedible: The Sand Trap The camel stepped lightly, as eager to get to the patch of juicy cacti before them as his rider was, but a shift in the wind caught his attention. His nostrils flared and his eyes rolled, stopping short. His rider, concealed but for her eyes to shelter from the harsh Soltari Desert sand, clucked irritably at the beast, urging him forward with a twitch of rope. The camel, giving a grunt of dismay, shuffled closer to the desert fruit. Viridian winced as the red exploded in her mind. Her grip nearly slipped off of the memory orb at the force of the ferocious thoughts, the already natural red darkened further in fury. She tried to keep her colors steady as she replied, "Azure the Gladiator lost, Eldest."
Repeating it a second time did nothing to cool Maroon the Eldest's anger. If anything, the red became more violent. There was a string of sputtered nonsense, varying from violent deaths he had planned to exiling the competitor from Mipoen, but finally he got himself enough under control to inquire in disbelief, "In the first round?"

It wasn't that she didn't appreciate the opportunity to observe the courtship rituals of the multitude of species that could be found in the complex. In fact, the Podekusai had topped off a memory orb already recording her findings, something sure to aid Mipoen someday in the future. However, she did find it odd that suddenly every individual, let him be obnoxious or more withdrawn, had grown very fond of a neighbor.
"Perhaps," Viridian mused quietly, "it is mating season." She paus
